The maximum time for the 10 km races is 1.5 hours, and for the half-marathon race it is 3 hours. For more details about the races routes go to the RACES ROUTES section.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Part of the streets adjacent to the competition route will be closed during the event. We recommend that you consult the list available here to avoid any inconvenience if you choose to come to the start by car. Alternatively, you can use public transport, the fastest way being the metro to the Aviatorilor station, very close to the Expo area.
For participants arriving at the event by car, the recommendation is to park, within the limits of available spaces, in the area to the right of Aviatorilor Boulevard. People with disabilities will be able to park their cars on the curb adjacent to King Mihai I Park (Herăstrău Park) on Bd. Aviatorilor, from the Pescăruș roundabout to Charles de Gaulle Square and as close as possible to the Ivelo point. When picking up the kits, they will receive a special access permit to this area.
The EXPO area will take place from Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. until Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. and will be set up in the King Mihai I Park, the entrance to the park from Charles de Gaulle Square, the area from Charles de Gaulle statue.
Please arrive at the event at least 30 minutes before the start of the race you are participating in.
Cautions
The presence on the route during the event is allowed EXCLUSIVELY to participants registered with a valid competition number, officials, referees, and members of the security and order forces. Any person without a competition number will be excluded and immediately removed from the route. It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN the presence on the route or in the Start/Finish area of other people (including children), pets, strollers, scooters or bicycles not authorized by the organizer or the authorities.
TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
For the smooth running of this event, the Road Brigade of the Bucharest City Police established a series of traffic restrictions on the route of the running race. Thus, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, road traffic will be gradually restricted on the running route and the streets that access it, with the exception of Constantin Prezan Boulevard, which will be closed between 03.00 and 16.00.
Bucharest International Half Marathon & 10K by Constantina Diță will take place according to the following schedule:
- between 07:00 – 08:30 – gathering of participants on Bd. Constantin Prezan
- between 08:45 – 13:00 – the half-marathon route (21K) will be run: Bd. Constantin Prezan (next to Alexandrina Street) – Arc de Triumf – Road. Kiseleff, direction to Piata Presei Libere (local) return to Sos. Kiseleff (central axis – both directions, without affecting road traffic in Piața Presei Libere, with the exception of traffic lane I, the portion located between Kiseleff Street, median and local) – Arc de Triumf (detour on the right in the direction of running) – S.O.S. Kiseleff-Piata Victoriei – on the opposite side -Str. Buzesti – Str. Berzei – Str. Vasile Pârvan – Hașdeu Bridge – normal direction of traffic – left on Splaiul Independentiei – opposite direction right on Bd. Libertății towards Rond Coșbuc (in front of the Ministry of the Environment) – turn on Bd. Libertății – right on Bd. Unirii, Fántáni area – Piața Alba Iulia – Bd. Decebal return to Piata Hurmuzachi (without affecting road traffic at the intersection) and return on Bd. Decebal-Piata Alba Iulia – Bd. Unirii-right in front of the H&M store (lane V, adjacent to Unirii park) – Str. Halelor – Splaiul Independentei – right Calea Victoriei – Shos. Kiseleff-Arcul de Triumf-Bd. Constantin Prezan (FINISH).
- between 09:10 – 12:00 – there will be a run on the 10 km route: Bd. Constantin Prezan (next to Alexandrina Street) – Arc de Triumf – Sos. Kiseleff, direction to Piata Presei Libere (local) – return to Sos. Kiseleff (central axis – both directions, without affecting road traffic in Piața Presei Libere, with the exception of traffic lane I, the portion located between Kiseleff Road, median and local) – Arc de Triumf (detour on the right in the direction of running) – S.O.S. Kiseleff – Piața Victoriei – Calea Victoriei return Str. THAT. Rosetti – Calea Victoriei – Piata Victoriei – Shos. Kiseleff-Arcul de Triumf-Bd. Constantin Prezan (FINISH).
Traffic will be resisted in Piaţa Victoriei, by creating two-way traffic in front of the Government of Romania, between 06:00 and 13:00, so access from the road will not be allowed. Nicolae Titulescu to Piața Victoriei, and road traffic from Str. Paris, Bd. Iancu de Hunedoara and Bd. Lascar Catargiu will proceed only to Bd. Aviatorilor.
During this period, road traffic in Charles de Gaulle Square and on the road will not be affected. Kiseleff (local), the direction from Free Press Square to the Arc de Triomphe.
The alternative routes recommended by the Road Brigade during the restrictions are:
- Free Press Square – Montreal Square – Bd. Mărăsti – Str. Alexandru Constantinescu – Bd. Ion Mihalache;
- Bd. Ion Mihalache – Bd. Banul Manta – Şos. Nicolae Titulescu – Passajul Victoriei – Bd. Iancu de Hunedoara – Road. Stephen the Great;
- Victoriei Square – Aviatorilor Blvd – Beijing Blvd – Str. Nicolae Caramfil – Bd. Aerogării – Sos. Bucharest-Ploiesti.
- S.O.S. Bucharest-Ploieşti – Bd. Acrogării – Bd. Beijing – Bd. Mircea Eliade- Str. Radu Beller – Calea Dorobantilor – Bd. Magheru – Road. Stephen the Great – Sos. Michael Bravo
